The Crew

ED ANDERson

Drift West’s creative director has honed his craft in the field and marketing departments of the outdoor industry. From Nissan to Filson to Patagonia, Ed’s art is a staple in the forests and rivers with American sportsmen. His journal adventures waft between illustration and fine art capturing his time guiding fishing and hunting. The resulting paintings and graphics have found homes in retail shops and museums alike. With his attention to his craft and experience, we are pumped to have him guiding the creative direction of the Drift.

franklin dyer

After a 13-year stint as an Idaho and Montana fly fishing guide, Franklin took the oars as our operations manager. Our resident expert in all things fly fishing, he handles day-to-day operations at our retail store and works with our brand and adventure partners to develop new guided trip opportunities. Franklin grew up hunting and fishing in Oregon and loves to spend the off-season fishing on the salt flats and in Argentina.

suzann ramos

Grand Poobah (according to Ed), business manager and creative asset, Suzann keeps the Drift West engine running. With a background in graphic design and retail, she acts as brand manager, product developer and keeps the lights on and cogs running smoothly. She also manages Ed’s fine art business and West Mountain Drifters (our creative/design house), working with national brands and non-profit organizations in the outdoor sector.

OurIdaho Outpost

Our Drift West retail shop is located in the hopping mountain resort town of McCall. Part fly shop and part adventure hub, you can outfit yourself with a new fly rod, book an adventure, and get some souvenirs to take back home.
